Màiri Macleod - Ceòl is Òrain (Music & Song)
We are delighted to announce Màiri Macleod’s debut solo album Ceòl is Òrain (Music & Song) released at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2011 and soon to be available in local music shops as well as online here or to download on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon MP3.
Màiri was very excited about this release as it showcases her talent as a solo harpist & Gaelic singer. Gaelic music is Màiri’s passion but she is also highly involved in writing and arranging new music. You’ll hear her diverse sounds and abilities for contemporary writing blending flawlessly with the tracks of her more traditional approach to Gaelic singing. Some of her compositions and arrangements are being published by us already with many more to be added in the future. View the selection here.
Featuring 12 tracks of solo Clàrsach compositions, traditional arrangements and Gaelic songs.
